Here is the store where I've been having my stage. You can usually find me sitting at one of the green tables (you can only see one here) or tucked behind a basket of books.

A few weeks ago I began a stage at Paris’s Canadian bookstore, The Abbey Bookshop, the result of which being that my to-read list has doubled in length, I’ve met lots of wonderful Anglophones (Canadian and otherwise), and one of them showed me goodreads.com. I had been looking for a site that reviewed books so that I could pick, for example, the best available Joan of Arc biography without too much fuss. The site lets you review your own books and see your friends’ reviews as well. I have to admit though, it most appeals to me as a tabulation of the books I’ve read and want to read. I often forget about books I’ve previously made notes of, and hopefully this will help me to remember (as well as to remember authors I’ve loved reading before).
